Media City (opix)

Description

Opix Media City is a high-performance Job and Media Asset Management system consisting of two main components:

  • Media Factory where digital assets are compiled in digital job bags and processed for production and archiving
  • Media Warehouse where digital assets and metadata are managed for publishing, distribution, commercial sale. Media Warehouse is also an ideal platform as a data hosting platform

Opix Media City centralizes the storage of assets and structures it to give users complete transparency and control of work in progress and work stored in asset libraries. Read-write Internet clients, based on HTML or Java, allow authorised users to work remotely with the database. A suite of integrated color management, file conversion, XML, PDF and SOAP-networked publishing tools makes light work of print and Web publishing. Opix also offers a full range of data migration, storage and archiving modules that are flexible for any scale of operation. The system's open architecture ensures interoperability with other databases in your organization and even has interfaces for integrating CRM, ERP e.g. SAP/R3 systems. Opix includes a runtime license for the Sybase Adaptive Enterprise Server - the underlying system that powers the Media City database.
