UB64 Windows “rebuild” may change “Last Write Time” of files/folders

When defining a new volume via HELIOS Admin, it will initiate a “rebuild” of that directory upon saving the settings. The “rebuild” will process all existing files and folders in that directory tree and, if necessary, create or update required file streams metadata.

During the rebuild, the “Last Write Time” of all existing files and directories that have not been created by EtherShare are automatically updated. Unfortunately, “rebuild” does not restore the modification time.

Until HELIOS has released an update to UB64 “rebuild” for Windows, we recommend to create only volumes on directories in HELIOS Admin that do NOT yet contain any data.

We will update this Tech Info upon changes.
