HELIOS EtherShare G8 enables seamless integration of powerful servers into Mac networks. It delivers an extremely fast, reliable, and feature-rich Apple-compatible file and print server that unlocks full server performance for Mac clients. macOS and AFP 3.3 Support

Full compatibility with Apple standards includes Spotlight searches (file names, text, and metadata). It works with any Mac out of the box – no user training required. EtherShare installs on the server in minutes, with all further management handled remotely through the intuitive HELIOS Admin GUI. Configuring users, groups, volumes, print spoolers, server settings, and log files is straightforward.

The TCP/IP-based file server fully utilizes high-speed networks, e.g., Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

TCP/IP Print Spooling

via the HELIOS exclusive TCP printer drivers supports “Bonjour” (mDNS) for easy printer selection on macOS clients, including automatic PPD setup. Detailed print job accounting information can easily be reviewed.

Authentication

via LDAP, AD/PDC, NIS, and local server users is provided by the HELIOS Authentication server.
