Mac OS X 10.3.9 update breaks WebShare WebObjects Server

A change in Mac OS X 10.3.9 update does break Java. For example, calling java -version in Terminal leads to a crash/core.
So it is not possible to use the Java based WebShare WebObjects Server (“webshare.woa”) anymore after installing the Mac OS X 10.3.9 update.
As soon as a workaround or fix is available, this information will be distributed by a follow up to this Tech Info.
Customer reports show that not every Mac OS X 10.3.9 installation did break Java.
When Java does no longer work after the Mac OS X 10.3.9 update was installed it can be repaired as described in the Apple article available at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301380
