1 About the chapters of this manual

In the following, we give a brief summary of every chapter of this manual. These summaries are supposed to help you find the information you are looking for.

Chapter 2 Using the manual explains how to read and understand the manual. The chapter provides information about the manual version, the structure of the contents, and the meanings of font and syntax conventions.

Chapter 3 An introduction to Print Preview gives background information about the philosophy of the new Print Preview product.

Chapter 4 Installation lists the program's system requirements, and describes the installation and licensing procedure on the server. It also explains how to uninstall the software.

Chapter 5 Using Print Preview gives directions for choosing Print Preview settings with the EtherShare Admin program on a Macintosh. The chapter also describes the handling of preview files and analyses possible workflows.

Chapter 6 Reference part describes program parameters that can only be set up in the server's main configuration file.

Chapter 7 Troubleshooting explains - and solves - the problems that can arise if the software is not fully licensed, if applications do not smoothly co-operate with Print Preview, or if strange Admin settings produce an unexpected result.

Appendix A 1: How applications co-operate with Print Preview lists the applications we have tested with Print Preview and describes known restrictions and workarounds.
