A 2 Files in the PCShare directory
The following directory listing shows all files created in the "$PCDIR" file system after installation:
The "$PCDIR" directory contains the "install" program (which uses "machid"), all server programs ("pcadmin", "lpd", "pcfilter", "pcif", "pcpasswd", "pcshare", "smbif"), "dfilter" (which is, for compatibility reasons, a symbolic link to "pcfilter"), printer and server accounting files ("printer.acct", "server.acct"), a "README" file, some other files ("lcheck", "locktable", "lpr", "lpc", "lpq", "lprm", "trc", and "pcsignal"), a "Versions" file, the PCShare process ID file ("pcshare.pid"), and some user utility programs ("swho" - which uses "stmp" -,
"start-pcshare", and "stop-pcshare").
The "$PCDIR/conf" directory contains the following PCShare configuration files: the PC user list ("pcpasswd"), the configuration files "Preferences" and "exports.pcs", the licensing file "pcshare.lic", the PCShare servers list "servers.pcs", the client IP address data base "ethers.pcs", the IP access list "pcipaccess" and the WINS database "wins.db".
The "$PCDIR/etc" directory contains among other things the server program file "pcsmsg", some internal utility programs ("forall", "mkpcpasswd"), the "uninstall" script and sub-programs, templates for the "install" program, and sample files, e.g. "exports.pcs" as an example for the configuration file "exports.pcs" in "$PCDIR/conf".
The "$PCDIR/cmaps" directory contains the character mapping tables which the PCShare Admin uses when performing character conversions on input/output documents. See also

The actual listings depend on the machine type and may vary slightly. The columns "owner" and "group" were omitted in this manual for space saving reasons. However, if you call up a directory listing (
ls -lR) in your PCShare directory those two columns are part of the list, of course.
