1. World of HELIOS: Flash? – No Thanks!
Read Apple's opinion on Flash – late-breaking at www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash. Our opinion on Flash is: for many web sites it is dispensable because modern HTML standards used in current web browsers allow interactive web applications. Why use an additional system, if HTML standards offer the same functionality cross-platform and without the need for installing additional browser plug-ins?
However, the fact that Apple doesn't allow iPhone Apps to use Flash Player, and that all script languages not supported by Apple are not permitted in the iPhone OS SDK, is a strong patronizing behavior.
2. Softproof or printed proof?
This is a question where discussions will not end. Your are welcome to build your own opinion by learning more about our softproof solution in a web browser. Remote softproofs can replace printed proofs, softproofs are more efficient and reduce costs.
With several seminars in Germany we offer live presentations about everything regarding remote proofing using HELIOS WebShare with a Quato proof monitor. This solution recently received the FograCert certification confirming the highest quality, from the well known Forga graphic technology research association.
